Columbian Exposition and the murders of H. H. Holmes
Welcome to Lombard in 1893. The residents of the Village are lucky. They are only a short train ride away from the White City, also known as the Columbian Exposition World’s Fair.
Chicago was able to show off its grandeur and take its place among world class cities, but there was darkness hidden among the new electric lights.
You will meet people who’s lives have been impacted by the Fair. Some of the people you will meet are real Lombardians of the past and some who have been created from the facts of the time.
Upstairs in the Victorian Cottage, you will meet a grave robber. Remember, its just a job.
William Hammerschmidt himself will make a brief appearance in the back parlor as the raconteur that people knew and loved. He will tell you the most incredible story about the construction crews who worked for H. H. Holmes.
