Lombard Historical Society Staff
ALISON COSTANZO, Executive Director
Alison Costanzo originally started her museum career as the Education and Victorian Site Coordinator for the Lombard Historical Society from 2010-2014. As Executive Director of the St. Charles History Museum, she secured grants and donations to improve the Museum’s permanent display and oversaw the revitalization of the Museum as a community gathering place by implementing new rotating exhibits and a diverse slate of events and programs every year.
In April, 2020, Alison returned to the Lombard Historical Society as the Executive Director and is committed to providing outstanding exhibits, programs, and events for the Lombard community. Her guiding philosophy is that the size of your museum or staff shouldn’t limit the size of your ideas, nor should it limit the things you can do as a museum to make history fun and engaging for everyone.
Alison has a B.A. in Art History and a Master’s Certificate in Museum Studies from Northern Illinois University.

Rae holds Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Anthropology with a Museum Studies Certification from Northern Illinois University. She has worked for First Division Museum at Cantigny Park in Wheaton, IL, Kidzeum of Health and Science in Springfield, IL, and Naper Settlement in Naperville, IL as a museum educator.
Her favorite part of the job is interacting with visitors and watching while their curiosity is ignited by the history of the Lilac Village.
