BEING A PART OF HISTORY
THE LEGACY
Historical societies are about people and our collective stories. LHS is very honored to be the place where people donate items that are emblematic of their personal journeys, their history, their celebrations, their family events, and their accomplishments.
Our archive holds priceless heirlooms, stories, and photographs that tell the story of how our city became what it is today, and where we will go together. Lombard has been home to generations of families, from the first settlers, including the Pecks, who carved our community’s foundations, through the young families choosing Lombard for their first home together today looking forward to building upon our collective legacy.
The Lombard Historical Society includes a dedicated staff, board members, volunteers, and interns that represent the individuals and families that call Lombard home today. We are a society that embraces and celebrates everyone’s story, and we are committed to continuing to represent and reflect the beautiful lives of the people of our community who write Lombard’s collective story today and every day.
