Picnic at the Peck!
On Saturday, August 13, the Lombard Historical Society will be hosting a family-friendly picnic to celebrate the coming of autumn.
Join us on the front lawn of the Sheldon Peck Homestead between noon and 4 pm, rain or shine.
We'll have seasonal games, live music, pioneer activities, lemonade and s'mores over the camp fire. Feel free to bring a blanket and picnic.
Plank Road Folk Music Society will be playing from 12:30 to 3 pm.
The museum will be open for visitors to immerse themselves in the life of abolitionist and renowned folk artist Sheldon Peck. You may also wish to see the Lustron Exhibit before it closes on August 27.
This event is free but we ask that attending families please register so we have an accurate head count for crafts and food.
