Join us on June 22, 2024, from 10 am to 4 pm for a special event featuring the homes of Harold Gray, the creator of the famous comic strip Little Orphan Annie.

Enjoy a guided tour every 15 minutes of 215 S. Stewart Avenue in Lombard, where Harold created the comic strip Little Orphan Annie in 1924. Reserve your tour time for 119 N. Main Street, where in 1927, Annie announced the purchase of this home to her readers, dubbing it the "Little Orphan Annie House."

While waiting for your tours, take a self-guided walking tour with your commemorative booklet which features other historic homes in both neighborhoods.

Event Guidelines

  • This event is for guests aged 12 and up. No Children/or infants.

  • Each person can purchase a maximum of four tickets.

  • Tickets are priced at $50 per person.

  • Each tour group will consist of 16 guests at both sites.

  • Tours will cover only the main floor at both sites.

  • Docents will be stationed in each room of the tour at both sites.

  • Guests should be able to handle walking up at least five stairs.

  • All guests must wear shoe covers during the tour at both sites.

  • No Smoking, food, drinks, or bags will be permitted during the tour.

  • Photography is not permitted inside either home.

  • This is a walking tour and street parking is available in the surrounding neighborhoods or downtown Lombard. Biking and walking are encouraged.
